The Equine Rescue Net (ERNet) web site exists to make accessable in one place information and contacts useful to equine rescue, to provide links to other such information on the web, and to keep track of projects on which volunteers are working. The ERNet web site is sponsored by the Equine Rescue Network Incorporated (ERNi).

Some of the subscribers to the Equine Rescue Mailing list, which include persons operating, working for or volunteering for equine rescue organizations, as well as persons interested in equine rescue, have put in many hours in gathering much of the information for this free, on-line education site.

Horse Owner's Recordkeeping System (HORS)
This is a DOS program written in Clipper. It will run under Windows in a DOS window. Instructions: FIRST make a directory on your hard drive. Then download the program to that directory. Go to that directory and use a program to unzip the file. (Email me if you have problems.) Read the readme file first for some hints. To run it, type hors and enjoy! It is shareware and it works 100%.
If you like it, email the author, and maybe even pay for it.
DOWNLOAD HORS (172K)

HORS will keep records for around 30 or 40 horses with no trouble. It keeps records of innoculation, worming, and shoeing schedules, allows special feeding instructions for each horse, has a rudimentory expense tracker (can include income), has a diary for each horse, and even prints out stall signs (horse's and owner's name, phone numbers for owner, vet, farrier) -- nice little piece of work.
